Joy several years in energy, pharmaceuticals and non-profits prior to her work at McGill University where she serves alumni and students at the Desautels Faculty of Management.  In her role as Senior Development Officer, she is charged with strengthening alumni relations with the University, while ensuring the financial sustainability of programming at the Faculty, through philanthropic donations for student awards, bursaries, scholarships and infrastructure.  Joy volunteers in her church community mentoring youth, the Black Opportunity Fund and at the Dr. Kenneth Melville Black Faculty Caucus at McGill University.
